Yes that is the tension screw. It adjust how tight the filament is grabbed the the gears. This is a basic video with a bowden setup, but the principle is the same. [Everything about Extruder Pre-Tension!]

Sovol’s are pretty much always on the tight side, so I would screw it in all the way…not tight…than back it off 1/2 or 3/4 a turn…and adjust from there…JMO
