SV06: Err: MINTEMP: E1

Hi

I just received my SV06, it is my first FDM printer, so I am a complete beginner.

Assembled according to instruction.
Did the Auto Z align, no problem here.
But when I try to Auto Home (Preheat) according to the manual, the printer stops with message:

Err: MINTEMP: E1
PRINTER HALTED
Please reset

Since this appears out of the box I am completely lost here.
The printer did not even do a test print.

It also seems that there is an error displayed at the Info Page:

Last but not least: The SD card that came with the printer cannot be read and needs to be formatted.
Can I download the files I need here somewhere?

This error message is probably a disconnected thermistor.
You should disassemble the extruder, make sure all cables are connected and all screws tight.
Also before you start printing it’s a good idea to lubrificate all the bearings. Stock they might make terrible noises while printing.

  • is the thermistor in hotend damaged?
  • are all plugs plugged in correctly?
  • Has the connector slipped out of the mainboard?
  • are the cables broken?

Oh my god, I am soooo embarrassed!!!

With 16 years experience in IT customer service I did make THE most dumbest mistakes of all:
I FORGOT TO CONNECT THE CABLE TO THE EXTRUDER!!!

I bow my head in shame and thank you for your help…

But at least I know how to disassemble the extruder now.
As Bob Ross said so beautifully: “There are no mistakes, only happy little accidents”
