Hi everyone!
After an update, my SV08 stopped printing properly.
Most of the time, once the print is more than 50% complete, the filament stops coming out; the print head keeps moving normally, but the filament stops feeding.
If I cancel the print and then run an extrusion, the filament comes out perfectly.
If I cancel and immediately start another print, the filament flows normally.
Weird. does the feed knob behind the extruder continue to turn when no filament is being extruded?
Yes, it works normally.
This happened with a print job lasting approximately 30 minutes.
After that, the printer won’t print anything; if it starts, it doesn’t finish.
Don’t you have a filament leak on your hotend?
@M.25 I’m unclear as to the sequence of events.
The last picture is after the filament feed or the feed issues began after you cleaned off the filament ball?
The problems started after the printer update. This ball of filament appears when the filament stops flowing. I switched from PETG to PLA and reduced the print speed; the nozzle stopped leaking, but the filament stopped extruding halfway through the print again.
Not at first. I checked everything.
Did you purge all of the PETG out of the hotend..??
PETG prints at 235*+, PLA at 200*+.
Most likely, you have a nozzle clog.
Yes. I have already performed the nozzle purge and cleaning several times.
In short, the problems started after the firmware update.
It returned with a probe_eddy_current error.
What was the firmware version before the other one was installed? What is the version of the new firmware? Why was it necessary to install a different firmware? Out of curiosity.
The SV08 has been out for awhile now, there shouldn’t have been any updates from Sovol except for the one you get during setup.
I installed the new available version. The update appeared after an error occurred in the installed version of Eddy.
It was working perfectly fine. After performing the update, I discovered that the update wasn’t the issue. I wanted the previous version back to run some tests.
