Filament extrusion problem on Sovol SV08

In 2025 I bought a Sovol SV08 and have practically never used it. Recently I started using it, and to my disappointment I’m running into some problems

The first is with the heat bed. I printed some objects that fill the entire flat surface of the bed, and on the edges they came out not perfectly flat but curled upward. As a result, the nozzle tends to scrape when printing near the edge of the bed and to be too far away when printing in the center ( Even doing all calibrations before every print)

The other problem is even more frustrating: no filament is coming out of the nozzle anymore. Last night I started a print, then came back a few hours later and found the machine still printing, but the part hadn’t progressed. Tonight I tried to disassemble everything to check for nozzle clogs, but the nozzle was clear. However, the filament was jammed at the"entrance", between the gear and the hole leading to the nozzle. I freed it, reassembled everything, and started again. But when I went to load the filament using the proper function, the filament still refuses to come out because the motor that turns the gears pulling the filament seems to struggle and move in jerks (it makes a rapid “tuc-tuc-tuc” sound) the moment the filament starts engaging between the two toothed wheels (They’re not worn out—the machine has probably printed no more than 2 kg of filament—) and nothing comes out of the nozzle

Maybe someone could help me? I don’t know what to do. Thanks a lot :folded_hands:

Hi,
Welcome in this forum.
First of all, have you calibrated your printer before use it?

Hello Mich,

Yes, I calibrate It every time before every print

Could you post a picture of the mesh of your bed?
What filament do you use?

This is a filament or print process issue AKA print warping. Not a printer hardware/config/calibration issue.

Have you installed a spacer to keep the pin centered in the extruder?

Sure, this is before the last print, before the extrusion problem appear

Not sure is warping (?) the printed object stay attacched to the bed and the bed stay attacched to the magnet.

I saw about the pin in the gear and I don’t have put the modification yet but I have pushed the pin in and tried to print but no change

There is a pin holding the feedng gear in, this can work loose causing feeding issues
