Sovol SV06+ suddenly wants to do a filament change instead of printing

I replaced the original 0.4mm nozzle of my SV06+ with a 0.6mm hardened steel nozzle. After that I did an automatic pid tune. I have no idea if this is related to my problem.

But ever since I replaced the nozzle, when I want to start a print, it starts the filament change procedure. I did not ask for that. I cannot find anything in the GCode that might do this.

I used OrcaSlicer. The generated GCode contains the following, near the start:

M104 S150 ; set nozzle temp to 150

G28 ; home all axes
M420 S1 ;load mesh

M140 S60 ; set bed temp
M190 S60 ; wait for bed temp to stabilize
M104 S220 ; set final extruder temp
M109 S220 ; wait for extruder temp

The filament change is triggered when the nozzle temp is 150, and the bed temp is 60. So that is either when it encounters the M104 S220 line, or for the M109 S220 line.

I have the original firmware that came with the printer. That is firmware version V1.1.5, Marlin version 2.0.9.2.

Does anyone have a clue what might be going on here?

I think your filament run out sensor is triggered.

You can unplug it safely. Open switch = Filament detected

:man_facepalming: it was indeed the filament runout sensor. I forgot to lead the filament though it. Thanks for helping me figure that out!

You’re welcome, happy printing
