PLA filament kink at extruder

Good evening y’all. I’ve been having an issue and I cannot seem to cure it yet and was hoping for some advice.

I have two SV06+ printers, both running Klipper/mainsail and I and using Orca.

I’ve been printing in PETG on them for the past couple months. Yesterday I got my bulk order in for some “Creality Ultra PLA”. As soon as I switch to PLA on both printers, they will kink at the top of the extruder after a few minutes of l
Printing. Fans are working good. I’ve rebooted/restarted/re leveled both numerous times. Verified I am using the proper filament profiles and can even switch back to PETG and everything works fine again.

I’ve also lowered print temps down to 195 to see if that would help but nothing changed. I found an STL for an extruder mounted run out center than I was thinking about using to help keep the filament straightened on input but what do y’all think? Any ideas?

Going from PLA to PETG is fine, but PETG to PLA…you have to purge out of old PETG, your basically setting yourself up for a nozzle clog.
Going from a higher temp filament to lower temp will always cause you issues. (except for Bambu because they all purge at 250*)

Basically, before you start printing with PLA, your need to raise the temp of the last filament you used (PETG 235* or higher) insert the PLA and do a purge of a least 100mm…until your sure all the PETG has been removed, then you should be fine.
