Hello,
I just received my Sovol Zero, after calibrating the filament, I must say it’s a very good little printer!
I have a small problem, I can insert a pause in the Device window, but not in the Preview one. Gcode shows “;PAUSE_PRINT” followed by two blank lines. Notice the ; before the macro name, i.e. it is commented out.
How can I fix this (besides editing manually the gcode file of course, i.e. properly)? Thank you.
PS: another question, if you don’t mind: I have installed the OrcaSlicer v2.2.0 that comes in the USB pen, and I also downloaded from the Orca website and “installed” (portable) v2.3.0, adding the “Sovol3D” profiles (and also the macros, in the printer) by Gergo.
Q: is there any reason why I should stick with the v2.2.0 Sovol provided, and not use v2.3.0?
From what I understand, Orca 2.3.0 fixed the Pause issue (I haven’t used Pause yet for my Zero).
Use the newest Orca, the one on the USB was the newest when the Zero started shipping.
Well, I tried both on 2.3.0 and 2.2.0 and none of them works (at least mine).
So I explored a bit and found that in the definition of the printer (on top of Prepare window, where the printer name is shown/selected, then editing the preset) there’s the “Machine G-code” tab, and in it one can specify (like a MACRO) various G-codes for various situations "machine start, machine end, before layer, etc…) and there’s also a “Pause G-code”, but it’s empty.
So it’s probably only a matter to fill that field. So my new question: to enter pause, is the Zero controller expecting a M601, a M0 or another command? Plus a M76 I guess (Pause Print Job Timer)?
Sorry, I remember now…
2.3.0 fixed it for the ACE, the Zero wasn’t released yet.
You can try the Orca Beta to see if it’s been added or wait until the next Orca release.
