No Benchy file on USB

My USB stick did not include the sliced fast benchy i see other people testing the printer with. where would i be able to find that? Its not on the downloads yet on the sovol site, no ZERO section.

Hello @sovol3d ,
Could you create the Sovol Zero category in your wiki in order to include all the corresponding files.

We’re so sorry for it. You can send an e-mail to info@sovol3d.com. The after-sale staff will send the test file to you

Hi there @sovol3d

My USB didn’t have a Benchy file on it either (or I deleted it on accident when updating the Wifi.cfg file).

Does anyone happen to know where we can download Sovol Zero files for the USB and such?

Going to try connecting via Ethernet as well as I’m having trouble with the Wi-Fi or may need to check some cables. Super excited to get it up and running

I went ahead and downloaded the STL from 3dbenchy.com, and loaded that into OrcaSlicer. With the default settings for the Zero, it took about 31 minutes. There are some things to tune with the settings, but the 2nd print looked good overall. (The first failed because it didn’t stick to the build plate.)

Be sure to clean your build plate before the first print! I also used some Elmer’s purple glue stick for my 2nd print.

Hello,
I’m really surprised that for such a printer, a Benchy takes 31 minutes to print.
The SV06ACE takes 13 minutes, and the Zero is much faster.

No Benchy on mine either, just a calibration block.

The 31 minute Benchy is the nice Benchy… that took over an hour on pre-Klipper printers.

The Zero can print a passable 8 minute and 20 second speed boat Benchy. It’s kinda violent.

No speed boat Benchy on my Zero’s USB drive either. No G code at all. That seems odd. Most companies ship a printer with several simple example prints.

Have you taken a look at this address?

I had already visited the Sovol Google drive but took another look in case Sovol had updated it since my last visit a few days ago. I couldn’t find any G code there for the Zero.

Sovol is good about their email support. They just started a four day Labor Day holiday, but I’m confident they’ll email me the Speed Benchy G code on Monday. It just seems odd that they don’t include several G code examples on the thumb drive or in the internal memory on the Zero.

My Zero’s file history in Mainsail shows a print job named “USB-xiaochuan 8m44s.gcode” that took 8:22 to print on March 7th. That’s almost certainly the speed Benchy that Sovol printed as a test but the file has been deleted.

Sovol has returned from their four day workers holiday and they emailed me the Zero speed boat Benchy files.

Zero-Benchy-08min22s.gcode (1.7 MB)

Zero-Benchy-08m22s.3mf (2.4 MB)

It’s very cool to print an 8 minute 22 second Benchy. It’s not the prertiest Benchy I’ve ever seen but it’s not a thin hollowed out Benchy in name only. It’s very substantial, and the printing at that speed and acceleration is a bit scary. I’m not going to run the Zero at that speed, impressive as it is. I’m more interested in the Zero for fast precise printing and long term reliability, and I figure a little beast of a printer that can print at 1200 mm/s with 4g acceleration should be rigid enough to print reliably and precisely at 500 mm/s. My TPU parts are currently printing at 58 mm/s.
