Good instructions! Thank you! I noticed a problem myself and it has been reported by some users online. After selecting the SV06 ACE in Orca, the material profiles for the printer do not appear.

I apologize for the German Orca slicer! On the left, under “Filament”, select “Add filament” at the bottom and select the material with the addition “Sovol SV06 ACE” and confirm. It will then appear in the selection.

Not sure if anyone else had this issue - the SV06 ACE profile is on the little USB stick that comes with the printer, not on the website! You have to copy the profiles from the stick over to orcaslicer and it has all the start code and othe profile stuff that it uses for the included benchy print that’s on it.

First link is all the files on the USB, including Orca Profiles.

I hope I did everything right. I added the following lines:

“single_extruder_multi_material”: “1”,
“manual_filament_change”: “1”,
“change_filament_gcode”: M600,
“machine_pause_gcode”: PAUSE,

If you want to test. The Orca profiles are packed in a zip file and can be downloaded here.

good luck!

You are a life saver. I have not got the printer yet but wanted to preload the profile. I was searching forever. Thanks for the info.

Orca has adopted the profile from the SV06 ACE in the Nightly Builds, corrected the errors and added additional nozzles 0.2, 0.6 and 0.8mm.

Let us know when it’s out of testing please, I’d like to start over.

I tested it. All missing entries for filament change and pause have been added. The additional nozzle sizes have been provided with additional process profiles from 0.08 to 0.4 mm. However, I only have the Plus for testing.

I’ve tested the various 0.4 nozzle profiles a bit. 0.12mm, 0.2mm, and 0.28mm layers all worked well for me.

Strangely enough, I get artifacts on overhangs with 0.08mm layers, so that actually looks worse than 0.12mm. I tried playing around some some speed and fan settings, but didn’t have much luck improving things. Not sure what’s up with that.

My nozzle kit finally arrived, but I haven’t had time to swap nozzles and test the other sizes yet.

But anyway, I’d recommend grabbing the latest OrcaSlicer profiles regardless. The 0.2mm profile seems like a strict improvement on the original one Sovol shipped (a couple obvious bug fixes, and some minor improvements that should be uncontroversial).

I couldn’t find any difference to the profiles I changed. The missing entries are now included. Downloading the files is a bit cumbersome. You can also just use the zip file with all of my Sovol files. I only added a nozzle and process profiles for the SV06 Plus ACE and ASA, PCTG and BIO for both printers.
