Help replace brass nozzle kit

So I broke one and got another one. However i remove the 2 screws and push the end in but when i tighten the screws the housing will slide back out when i heat it and put filament in. Is there something that I am missing to try and seat the new end in place to keep it there?

Im ok with pictures too. I just have not seen any directions and am just guessing.

The SV06 ACE doesn’t have screws, did you mean the SV08…??

SV06 ACE:

SV08:

yes it is the sv06 ace. There are 2 tiny screws next to that print head. They even ship 2 new ones with the new head. So how do you replace and keep that in place if it does not tighten into something?

Alright…I haven’t torn mine apart yet.
I also see that the have the install instructions at the bottom of the page (Above Link)

From this pic…I would remove the sock, slide the heartbreak in the hole then tighten the screws. This should hold it down, then re-install the sock.

yep that’s exactly what i did and when i loaded filament in it pushed the head right out. Will try again was hoping there was some kind of trick.

What I don’t understand is that only 0.4mm is offered for the hardened nozzle. For carbon or fiberglass, that’s too small and clogs up too quickly. So it’s unsuitable for the recommended application. @sovol3d doesn’t seem to have thought about this.

Don’t know if you ever figured this out, but as you can see in the picture above that Lion included, that flat metal collar needs to be seated within the hole. The screws go in after that collar and press down on it directly to keep the nozzle assembly in place. The first time I tried to insert mine, I didn’t back the screws all the way out and it prevented the collar from going in the hole properly. Hope this helps!
