This error indicates the main Micro Control Unit (MCU) is not responding when Klipper does it’s inital check.
The SV08 Max has 3 MCU’s. One on the mainboard, one in the toolhead and one in the buffer (filament pusher).
The mainboard includes 2 subsystems:
- A small embedded computer (SBC or loosely a Raspberry Pi) , RAM memory, and storage for a filesystem.
- A microcontroller that is connected to various sensors and actuators.
Your printer appears to be booting to Linux and loading Klipper normally. The other half of the mainboard is missing in action. That Linux boots eliminates any possibility of a power supply problem. There are no connecting wires (uses traces on the board). The next step would be to reflash the Klipper firmware onto the MCU. There is (AFAIK) no official flash process.

You need to reach out to Sovol at info@sovol3d.com (include your order # and a picture of the serial number sticker) and see if they want to guide you through the flash process or ship you a new mainboard.
This user had a similar issue, though he got there using an unofficial flash method).
