I rolled the dice and purchased another Ace. I haven’t been pushing any limits, but I have had an overall positive experience.
Even though I have not had any screen issues after 30h of printing, would it be adventageous to print the ‘fix’ brackets as a preemptive measure before issues come about? Or would unclipping/handling risk damage to my apparent undamaged cable?
What is the most current fw version available? Inititially I had issues with OTA updating and kept getting the message that it was up to date. I dont remember the specific port number, but the printer does not open a connection to the updating server over ports 443/80. That being said, is there a place that lists firmware releases?
According to my webui history page, I have printed for 30.5h, used 93m filament and run 95 jobs. Not sure if those stats are indicative, but nearly all of those prints are lw-pla using conservative speeds/feeds.
I had issue with the screen & the spacers fixed it for me. So, I would say it couldn’t hurt to print them & have them ready.
Current version is 19.0.
What was their proposed solution for the screen flickering? Did it work? Can you share it? I have the screen flicker frequently and would love if there was a solution other than a warranty claim

I had to flip the 1st piece (A), the one where the cable comes out of the box.
Thanks! I’ll give it a shot! Those files were definitely not on the USB Drive I got with my printer. The only stl files on my drive was a benchy, and something called Cable Clip which had no explanation of what it is for, but definitely isn’t these files for that ribbon cable.
I wish Sovol would have put this information somewhere convenient for all users to find, like a pinned message at the top of this subforum, or better yet, a pinned announcement in the Sovol facebook group

In a folder called “Flat screen cable gasket” .
Yeah, I found them on the google drive hosted copy of the usb files. I was just saying that it wasn’t on the physical USB drive that came with my printer.
I’ll print them out tonight and see if they fix the screen flickering
That’s why I posted the folder name, it was on my USB. I just printed the Gcode.
