Hey guys. Noticed I had a pile of rubber dust under one side of the machine. I unfortunately found out why. The OEM incorrectly installed the belt. As you’ll see from pictures the belt is supposed to be in different channels but it is not and due to that it has worn around 1mm off the already thin belt. I sent them pictures and they informed me it was built correctly and the belt doesn’t appear worn. So I sent them better pictures along with caliper readings and what it’s supposed to look like. Waiting on their reply now. So if you’re having issues or debri under your machine check your Z axis belts no telling how many were made wrong.
Sovol support wrote back telling me I took it apart and put it together wrong. Not sure why they think I took it apart and put it together and why I would do that.
1. The belt issue shown in Image 2 indicates that you disassembled and reassembled the Z-axis belt yourself, and then did not install it correctly. The belt spacing needs to be as marked in the image below; there will be a profile strip in the middle of the belt
