Bed Z crash during homing

Hello,

I bought the Sovol Zero two weeks ago and finally got around to setting it up. However, when I try to home it through the web UI the Z axis keeps going up indefinitely and I have to emergency stop the printer. This happened both times I tried to home it.

The bed and printhead seem to be sturdy and undamaged (so far). After checking the manual more thoroughly I realized I had to do calibration via the tiny knob-screen first. I did that and now homing via the web UI works properly.

Please, add a check and/or make it more prominent a first calibration is absolutely required. The machine appears undamaged (though I need to do a proper inspection) so kudos for the sturdy construction.

Hello,
You said it was in the manual. What more do you want?

It’s a tiny note on the bottom of a page, easy to overlook.

I would have expected the Eddy Sensor to be calibrated from the factory, but apparently not.

Due to the vibrations the printer is subjected to during shipping and the assembly process upon arrival, it is not possible to perform a proper factory calibration before shipment.
