Y-Axis loud traversal noise during printing

Hi, recently got my SV06 Plus ACE (my first printer ever), and now I’m in the process of calibrating it with Orca Slicers different calibration prints. Here’s a video of the noise during a flow rate calibration print.

The first and second clip is from the same print, but the second is at a later point where the flow rate is faster. The third clip is another print, but at an even higher flow rate than the previous print. This noise is not present on slow speeds, like the first three layers.

Another thing I noticed while manually moving the build plate, is that the belt at the tension knob will drift to the right when the plate is traversing towards it. Not sure if this is at all related but thought it’d mention anyway.

Moving the build plate by hand doesn’t make the same noise, even when pushing it along relatively fast. Although I can feel an uneven resistance along it’s travel. Visually inspecintg the Y-Axis rails show nothing out of the ordinary to me.

Another thing to note, is that this happens on many with either a loose OR tight belt tension.

Here’s a video of a Califlower I printed after adjusting the nozzle temperature, max volumetric speed, pressure advance, flow ratio and retraction distance, with instructions from this video by Factorian Designs. The problem seems to manifest itself as slight wobbliness in some walls along the X-axis? I do not have the knowledge to be sure of that.

Thanks in advance.

I wasn’t able to put more than 2 links in my first post, so here’s the rest.

Consider that the Y motor moves 5-10x the weight of the X motor.

Even so yours seems to be a little louder than expected.

There are software settings that can quiet it down but at a reduction in positional accuracy.
