I recently started getting print-issues with my sv08. In the picture you can clearly see the wavy pattern on walls. I am not sure what would cause this defect.
Settings i tried:
PLA (different brands)
Temperature (195, 210, 220)
Speed (100%, 50%)*
Different Slicers (Orca, Prusa)
Extruder Flow (100%, 103%, 106% ,109%)
Calibrating E-Steps
Different Models**
I always get those defects on different prints.
** Some models are fine. Benchy printed mostly defect-less.
* The only difference i could see was with 50%. In fact, the print below is one example. The wavy pattern mostly stops at roughly 2/3 of the height, which is where i dropped the speed from 100 to 50%. The patterns mostly stop and the print gets a lot cleaner. But even then, as you can see on the left corner, they are still there. Just less pronounced.
Banding would show up as an entirely vertical problem, wouldn’t it? Where each layer (or sections of layers) shift on top of each other.
I can’t see that in my prints.
The calibration cubes i printed are perfectly straight.
You might have a partial nozzle clog…this is why it’s more noticeable when you try to print faster.
Try purging 600-800mm at 280* or do a few cold pulls.
Looks like classic ringing. The sharp turn as the extruder transitions from ‘side of hole’ to ‘flat face’ is causing sustained ringing of your printer.
Run the belt check macro. Won’t fix anything but write down what it outputs.
Check every bolt for looseness. There are bolts behind the printhead that attach the carriage plate to the linear rail. Don’t remove the printhead unless you see/feel movement when giving the “shake test”.
