unfortunately the fan is quite noisy? Anyone know what size it is, so I can order a better one and replace it?

It’s a 12 volt type 4010 fan. I have just bought one of these dryers, and have only kicked off one dry session so far. So far I reckon the fan isn’t that bad for noise. It may get worse, but so far it’s not too bad. But I guess if you were sitting beside it all day it would get annoying.
After seeing your post I thought maybe the fan doesn’t have proper ball bearings and only “sleeve” bearings (basically a brass ring). But from the noise I’m getting from mine, I’d say it has ball bearings. I could be wrong. Small fans like that are always going to be noisier than their larger brothers.
If you replace it with one known to have bearings, let us know how it sounds.
Anyway, here’s a photo (apologies for the quality):

As already mentioned, it is a 12V 4010 fan. I had to replace mine a while back. I had only one slight difficulty and it was with the wire length. It is a good distance from the center rear wall of the dryer up to the circuit board, routing it along the bottom edge. I found many fans on Amazon, but most had wires too short to reach all the way, about 300mm long. A rough estimate of the length needed is 500mm.
So I had to cut the wires off of the old fan and splice them onto the new fan’s wires. The other option is to look for fans with longer wires. I have found several that are 1000mm long.
Thank you, I was wondering if 4010 or 4020 (and yeah, the voltage), and you have just spared me the trouble of taking the dryer apart twice!
As for the noise being bearable - maybe I’m just unlucky, but mine gives out a buzzing noise. And it’s sitting right beside my on my work desk.
