I’m loving the SV06 ACE so far, but does anyone know a source for a smooth (not textured) PEI bed that has is shaped similarly to the stock plate so the nozzle wiping sequence works well? (A 235mm x 235mm fits, but is missing the area where the nozzle scrapes next to the silicone brush.)
I know the printer is still quite now, so maybe nobody makes such a bed yet, but I figured I’d check if anyone knew of one. (P.S. @sovol3d, if y’all sold a smooth PEI build plate, I’d just order it from you guys. )
I meant something like this, where the highlighted part sits between the notches at the end of the heat bed and plays the role of the nozzle wiping surface.
No, I don’t have an ender 3 plate, but one can find the dimensions of the handle online and see if it fits between the silicone brush and the heatbed cable at the back.
So that would not work, but something shaped like the stock Ender build sheet would. I wonder if there is smooth PEI in that shape… Something like this one might work, though it would need to be measured. (I am not sure if that supplier lists the dimensions of the handle.)
Of course removing a warm bed to cool would be slightly annoying with the handle in the back, but that is not a huge deal IMO.
