Is the SV08 Max a direct drive extruder?

Hello,
first of all, many thanks for the great forum. I have a beginner question about the SV08 Max. Is the printer a Direct Drive Extruder, or is this extruder an upgrade for it:

Complete Extruder Assembly Kit for Sovol SV08 MAX | Plug-and-Play Replacement . I’m asking because I want to know what needs to be set in OrcaSlicer during calibration.

It is a Direct Drive. But the MAX also has an external extruder to help push the filament along it’s long path.

Are you replacing the printhead on a SV08Max? - No configuration changes.

Updating a different printer? - Lots of configuration changes.
