Just wanted to make sure anyone who is getting, plans to get, or is thinking about getting the SOVOL Eddy Sensor for the SV08 to not use the 2.4.9-Eddy firmware it comes with in the kit, and just download the 2.5.0-Eddy firmware directly from the SOVOL Printer Wiki and install that version instead. The 2.4.9 version for whatever reason just would not cooperate and destroyed the nozzle on my printer as it would keep Z-Offsetting into the floor. After installing 2.5.0 it seemed to have fixed pretty much everything and after replacing the now destroyed nozzle, the printer seems to be printing absolutely perfect with fantastic first layers and everything.
There are a few other tweaks I would recommend to sort of reduce potential issues with homing (Setting the X any Y Stepper “driver_sgthrs: to 75”) as well as I just remove the Nozzle Cleaning process entirely as it doesn’t seem to help much at all in practice that I have seen. But for the most part the 2.5.0-Eddy firmware seems to be immensely better than 2.4.9 and after setting up 2 of these printers with identical Eddy upgrade kits, the 2nd one done directly to 2.5.0 worked perfectly on the first try.
