Whenever this happens, I also try to stop the print, but it stays on the processing screen forever.
This sounds like a SD Card problem…
When the SD Card starts to go bad, it will kinda skip things..it can’t read the Gcode properly & will freeze up the printer. Sometimes a format will fix things for a few days, but the issue will come back.
So, before you start to tear things apart trying to fix something, try a different/new SD Card.
Remember to keep it under 16GB.
