Hi everyone, I’ve been using my printer for about two months and the front Y-axis tensioner broke. I saw there’s a GitHub repository with parts, but I can’t find the ones specifically for this printer. Could you tell me if the STL file exists or where I can buy the replacement? Thanks a lot.
Thank you so much for your reply. The broken piece in the photo is the black one, the one that contains the belt gear. I found several, but not that particular one.
Have you checked out the other parts of the website that I gave you the link to?
From the Sovol CAD model
Ace Y Tensioner.step.stl (259.5 KB)
Ace Y Tensioner.step (135.2 KB)
Unless you print this in ASA/ABS it will likely break again.
If the printer is only 2 months old, Sovol might send you a replacement part.
Send an email to info@sovol3d.com with a link to this post.
Thank you so much for your comments; they’re very helpful.
I decided to write to the SOVOL email address you provided because the part includes a metal thread to achieve the necessary tension, and I won’t achieve the same result with the printed part.
I hope they respond soon; the local supplier doesn’t have that part available as a replacement.
It usually takes 24-48 for a reply by email.
Hello,
FYI, it’s very easy to insert such a metal nut.
These are threaded inserts that are positioned using a soldering iron.
