I’m using Cura and have been wanting to change but managed to find more extensions and basically learned to use Cura better so it’s kept me off orca slicer until now.
Just wondering is there more features and better UI in Orca or what other options are out there?
Is the Bambu slicer compatible with the SV01? And if so how do I set it up with it?
I use PrusaSlicer. For me it has a a less confusing user interface than Cura (yes, I have used Cura in the past). I have also used OrcaSlicer, it also has a nice and quite understandable user interface.
I use & still use Cura for my older printers.
With the newer printers, you are pretty much forced into Orca or BS.
I’m pretty much used to them now, but I will say that coming from Cura to Orca there is a learning curve.
Is there anyway to delete part of a piece in Cura I printed a 2 part piece earlier and while fitting, one of them broke and have to reprint it but it’s making me print the whole file.
I did try banana split to get rid of the second part but it’s leaving it printed in the wrong orientation and when I rotate back its still there
Edit printing the whole thing again now anyway but be nice to know for future
@Conman I use Orca slicer. I’m also still somewhat new to the 3D printing world, it felt straight forward for me to understand as I learned. Well I guess “understand/learned” to a certain degree.
I tried Prusa in the beginning, but found it’s learning curve was a bit more being new to the hobby. Maybe I should give it a go again now that I understand a bit more.
Also I like Orca’s appeal of being a open source project.
