I’m trying to restrict my SV08 re-engineering to installing the R3men graphite bed.
It is very tempting to get a USB to CAN adapter. I’ve had a spare Zero tool head for a month or so, but I’m saving it for a future Zero emergency. I’d like to keep my SV08 as close to stock as possible so I’m not needing to do a few hours of engineering every time Sovol pushes a new firmware update. Besides, I’ve gently pestered Sovol to make an Eddy upgrade for the SV08 for so long it would be criminal not to buy it when it’s available.
In a recent INDX interview on YouTube, the lead engineer was asked what printers would initially be supported by INDX and he specifically mentioned Voron, RatRig, the SV08 and Zero.
For me, a huge advantage of the INDX, in addition to the obvious benefit of multiple materials, is that it prints flexible materials very well. I print a lot of TPU for my business. The design focus on newer printers has been the marketing game of faster PLA printing, and the long melt zones on those hot ends cause even more TPU stringing and flow imprecision.
