Just calibrated z axis after changing out the planetary drive. When print finished tool head started smoking and I received error code 8 and printer shut down. I checked all the connections ( at the print head and under the printer all are good). So ok has been helping with this but would like to print some things.). I switched back to the old planetary drive with a new micro Swiss heating element and nozzle same thing is happening. Any ideas?
Connect to Mainsail (running on your printer) with Orca or a browse. The actual Klipper error messages will be much more informative than Solvol’s shorthand error code.
What temperatures show in mainsail?
I appreciate the help. I’m going to attach the Klippy log. I am not proficient in reading gcode. Just learning this side of printing. Well, new users cannot upload attachments. Understandable. I’ll keep looking for the information. Thank you I’ll post temps as soon as I can find them
You could put the klippy.log file on Google Drive or OneDrive (or similar) and post a link here.
Great idea!
I also did a firmware update this afternoon. After an axis calibration the printer rebooted but no error code and no runaway heating of filament. Maybe getting closer to solving issue. Maybe……
