Hi, i picked up a sv04 idex and need a replacement motherboard for it, but it seems that sovol doesnt carry it anymore:woman_shrugging:
. Is there a replacement one that i can get. I googled it and it said the creality E3 free runs one will work, but the spot for the cable is (not enough pins) not the same and there is only one of them not the 2 that is needed for this printer.
You have quite a project on your hands.
There ARE a couple aftermarket boards that will run 7 stepper motors and 3 heaters but they ain’t cheap.
Once you have a suitable board you’ll have to take apart the ribbon cables at the motherboard and sort out 4 leads for the Y motor, 4 leads for the E motor, 2 for the thermistor, 2 for the extruder fan, 2 for the part fan and (probably) 6 for the nozzle heater. Once you get connectors on all those wires you have to do it again for the other side.
THEN you have to port the IDEX firmware to a different board.

There are more options:
- trying to locate & fix the problem on the current motherboard
- buying an other used SV04 iot to get a working one
