Key Cap files

Just wondering if any of you have 3d printed Key caps. I’ve been able to find plenty of STL files but all have been plain generic caps.
What I’m looking for is/are STL files that allow the keyboard character to be printed in another color on the top of the replacement key.
Ideas?

Can you post a pic of what your looking for.
From your post, it just seems like it’s a 2 color print.

Hi there Lion. Glad to be back in touch again.

The attached photo should explain what I’m wanting to do. Print replacement Key Caps for my keyboards because the lettering never stays intact very long.
As an example of my thinking. I’m looking for STL files that would allow me to print the Key Cap in Black, with a white letter also printed.
I’m figuring a white printed letter would last much longer than the paint most keyboard manufacturers use and never lasts very long.

So yes, a two color print. I’ve found files for one color, but none to add a contrasting color as a character.

This is going to be hard without an AMS.
Also, most are keyboard specific.

Maybe this..

Complete Cherry MX stem keycap set optimized for 3D printing (GEM profile, multi-material)

Thanks for the input.

There’s a lot here that I don’t quite understand but what the heck…I’ll try one or two at a time and see where it leads.

Thank you Lion

Hi,
If you can read french, there is also this method:

While my ancestry is French, unfortunately I never really mastered the language.

In fact, this involves printing two mirrored white layers with the text, then printing directly over the rest of the model. I printed the drawer fronts this way.
With a few adjustments, you can also hollow out the rest of the model corresponding to the text.
