Added Nevermore chamber fan/filter

Just finished adding a Nevermore Micro V4 to my Zero.
Got a four-wire 5015 blower fan from Fabreeko, after matching up the wiring order, plugged into the fan3 socket on the main board. I attached the fan casing to the back of the chamber with high-strength double-sided tape. (Gorilla)

I chose the Nevermore Micro V4 for it’s very low height and small size. It fits with sufficient clearance either on the back wall, or just laying on the floor under the bed.

I guess having extra filtration couldn’t hurt.

I added this…

I tried adding a hepa filter to the exhaust, but it massively degraded the exhaust fan performance. Instead, I ran vent tube over the exhaust fan grille to an inline fan, to the outside.

I also run a tabletop HEPA air purifier next to my printers.

The filtration I added is more of a side-benefit, what I really wanted was a circulating fan in the chamber, partly because the temp sensor is in a really bad place, and partly just to keep the temps even in the chamber.

I had the same problem fitting the hepa filter so I run a tumble dryer hose adapter and vent outside ( for ABS / ASA etc)

I used 2.5” dust collection hose for mine, because I already have quite a bit of it from my shop. The open “T” on the line is so I can run the extraction fan without force-drawing air when the chamber needs to be heated. If no chamber heat is needed, I can cap the open end and let it pull air through.

The extraction fan also pulls from my laser cutter., hence the gates.

There’s actually a Nevermore Micro v6. Nevermore_Micro/V6 at master · nevermore3d/Nevermore_Micro · GitHub It may be a WIP, but the timestamps for last changes on v4, v5, and v6 are all similar. I like the notion of the v6 since it requires less fan mods. I’m in the process of printing it out of PET-G and procuring the parts. However, I’m disappointed that the US Nevermore resellers are out of stock for their Carbon and their 50/50 Boost mix. Only a couple have the Scorch, which is intended for ABS & ASA (and I don’t really use either of those).
