I can not get the Orca Slicer to export a file to be printed so I must not have it configured properly. Trying to follow the video instructions but it’s rough.
If you want to send it over WI-FI, just slice & click on Print.
If you want the G-Code on the USB, use the dropdown menu to export G-Code.
Our wifi router is not strong enough so I just use a USB stick. I am copying the 3mf file and the m.gcode file to the USB stick and transferring to the 08max. This is a different workflow than the instructions say, but it works. Should I be doing the transfer to USB differently?
You just need the G-Code file.
You need to SLICE then export using the button in the preview window. There is no g-code to export until slicing is done. The printer has no use for the 3mf. Save it on your PC for reuse with Orca.
Thanks for the tip. I see the software automatically slices the part when the “preview” tab is pressed.
Another question - for advanced models that need some support material, how is that enabled in Orca?
