# The next SOVOL IDEX or dual extruder?

As the sv04 is discontinued, I was hoping that a new idex or dual extruder might be on the way? There’s a few small format dual extruder printers out there, but in the 300x300 build area range, there seems to be almost nothing except in the several thousand $ range.
I was hoping there might be a glimmer of hope? Anyone? There’s a few with AMS out there, but none can handle TPU. Seems to be a big gap in the market that the sv04 filled.

It seems that IDEX is a “dead” concept. With the advent of AMS (and the associated waste) and tool changers the idea of a 2 filament printer is not getting any love.

Hi Future seems with tool changers. Have a look at bondtech they have announced their indx system with multi toolheads changer on prusa core one and it should be soon available on Voron and as a kit for hackers

It seems like the only thing I can find is the prusa xl. So expensive! Snap maker U1 looks amazing, but build area is just a touch too small. Hoping for other options while my current sv04 is going strong.

Hi Have a look there about Indx Bondtech on Prusa Core One. Besides the print volume of the core one version L is 300x300x300. Not as sophisticated as the Prusa XL but the price is much lower.
