Wenn WPA2+WPA3 is implemented in the Router because Sovol mounted a chip on the MPU that only supports WPA2. After much experimentation and trying to get the machine connected other than with LAN, I stumbled over an artikel that mentioned the fact that some MPU boards have older wifi chips that only support WPA2. If WPA3 is removed everything works and a TCPiP connections is resolved. mcc (stm32f103xe) Version: v0.12.0-40-g77619e91-dirty. A newer MPU on my second SV08 does not have this problem. Both printers have the same firmware 2.5.0 2025.11.14. I am disgusted to the fact that such outdated chips were implemented on the controller by SOVOL.
The SV08 was released over 2 years ago…I get your point…but maybe the part wasn’t available 2 years ago.
You need to temper your expectations. Chinese manufacturers will ALWAYS use a $.02 discontinued chip over a $.025 current chip. Surplus/discontinued part procurement is a core competency for a Chinese EE.

WPA3 was newly implemented as a standard June 25 2018. Outdated chips are always cheaper than the new versions is probably the cause. The SV08 that is mentioned is an older used version that I acquired.
