# SV08 5" Touch Screen Not Working

I installed the 5" touch screen per Sovol’s instructions. The first time I powered on the printer the screen came up, I tapped an option on the screen then it just garbled up with a bunch of different colors flickering on the screen. I disconnected the screen, powered down the printer. Reconnected the screen and then powered the printer back on to just a black screen or once in a while a grey bar at the bottom of the screen. Any ideas?

I don’t know anything about Klipper, but what was the option you tapped…Update maybe…??

I tapped a different menu category, but the HDMI cable ended up being the issue. When I swapped out the 4k cable with an 8k one it worked fine.
