SOVOL SV08 Anti Tangle detector SOVOL SV08 Anti Tangle unit. A piece of Junk. **POOR DESIGN!!** I had nothing much but problems with mine. I have to Hack it later in this video… This Bowden tube input side caused a LOT of issues. Always coming out. After watching my dual Sovol filament dryer being lifted off the table three times (SUNLU Elite PETG) due to filament that was wound onto the spool wrong I looked into a means to detect this issue. The only one I could find that detects filament not moving with the extruder moves is the BTT SFS V2 but it is limited to 2.88mm limits. I’d have purchased this detector if it also detected no filament enabling the simple replacement of the existing filament detector. ---

I disabled mine and just use the filament run sensor. I wouldn’t mind finding something that replace both of them, but it just seemed very cumbersome to have both connected (And the original owner of the printer said the tangled detection had malfunction and messed up prints for him). ---

I bought the one of BTT (SFS) and that works fine (there is only one sensor pin available on the sv08 but the SFS requiring two : you can plug only the anti tangle without the runout one and that it… or add a blue/black pill). This requires not having too much friction because the sensor adds a little. I did not tested the one of sovol but that is probably the same issue.
