Can you trace them to the mainboard (or wherever they go)?

Hello cardoc, tks. for your help again 🙂 The two cable, K\_F1 and K\_F2 go directly to the Mainboard, and are plugged into K\_FAN1 and K\_FAN2 accordingly

thank you cardoc, thats helpful. now i have to find out how to use this pins to switch and regulate the necessary ssr’s for the heaters and the fans. as a complete klipper newbie this will be a steep hill to climb 🙂

All the info you need is at [https://www.klipper3d.org/G-Codes.html](https://www.klipper3d.org/G-Codes.html). The 2 PWM pins should happily run any SSRs with a 24V signal rating

You have to associate a temperature sensor to a heater so be ready for that.

@sovol3d What are the pin names for the 2 available plugs marked T\_box1 and T\_box2? Do they use standard 47k Ohm pull up resistors?

The OEM enclosure includes 2 fans on the rear, one above the other. The upper fan blows out and the lower fan blows in. IIRC, the upper fan is connected to the cable marked “FAN 2”, but I’m not at home and can’t verify that right now. Both fans show up in Klipper and can be controlled in the printer profiles of Orca.

As far as a heater goes, that giant build plate throws a lot of heat all by itself. The interior easily exceeds 30°C with the doors open (ambient: 24°C) when printing PETG with the build plate at 80°C. Depending on the required chamber temp, it may be possible to regulate it with nothing more than the fans and a temp sensor. Not sure what’s available on the MB to add a temp sensor though.

According to the spec, that big build plate draws a lot of current too, at least while heating up. There may need to be some scripting to prevent the chamber heater from kicking in until the build plate is up to operating temp to prevent tripping breakers. Sovol has indicated (on the kickstarter comments page) that their planned heater will have it’s own power cord, independent of the printer.

thank you for the info. i will install the two fans then accordingly, and buy a creality chamber heater, wich has its own power supply and temp control. i won’t print much petg - more PC and PP, and that need a lot more temp in the chamber to stay flat
