Hi Guys,
I was hoping someone in the community could help me troubleshoot some possible reasons for why this cylinder I’m printing looks so bad on the bottom half of the print (the side facing the bed). It could be insufficient supports, a bed too hot among other things.
Sadly I’m too new to the 3D printing game to tell by looking at it, so I was hoping someone could see the pictures in the link I provided and guide me in terms of what I should look at first.
I can’t upload my .3mf file here yet, but I can give it on request if that helps.

Oh! I should mention that I have just recently dried my PETG. This was the result just after drying for 8 hours.

By the pics you’ve posted, it looks like your trying to print a round object…which always comes with issues.
From what I’ve seen, it might be best to print that straight up…make sure to add a big brim 6-8 lines.
If you can’t post the 3mf file can you post a link to the item your trying to print..??

Since you sent your message @Lion, I did reattempt the print by standing it upright so the .3mf will be misleading, I apologise. The original .3mf did have it lying in its side with one thumbhold facing straight up and the other straight down towards the bed.

This is a 3dm file…we either need the STL or the 3mf…or the link to the model itself.

Try this, I did change a few settings.
It is also possible you might have to use glue if you have any.

Yes it will help hold a print on the bed if a brim doesn’t work.
It is mostly used with a brim to prevent warping (ASA/ABS) & also for very small part or tall parts.
Some settings weren’t needed for the model, some of the changes you made might have helped it to fail. It’s really just an interpretation. You want to use the closest to stock as you can until you know what changes will be good & what will be bad. Changing 20 settings at once is never a good thing, change 1,2,3 that seem to work, then you can start to create your own profile…JMO

Yes, small adjustments are typically the way I like to work too. I think back when I was trying to print that cup holder (my first topic here) I had changed a lot of different settings because I wasn’t finding much success with any of the changes I was making.
Looking back at that one, I have a feeling that my printer speeds were probably just too high at the time. After working that out, I think I might have left the other printer settings as they were.
As a result I now have a configuration that has deviated pretty far from “default”.
