I’m having very similar problem, also an SV07+. Maybe even a bit worse. Where you load a retrieved image a few lines before the Ramdisk section, mine fails for “failure to retrieve kernel.” After that, nothing but errors and BOOTP broadcasts.

This happened when I shut down the printer in preparation to upload the new firmware. Never even inserted the USB drive to try it because the screen never came back on.

Congrats, you will now need to get the [mks emmc v2.0 adapter](https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005005614719377.html) to flash the latest image…
Did it today three times 😒

You will get the image from the [Sovol Documents Website](https://www.sovol3d.com/pages/download).
And this is the direct link to the correct [Download](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1jdYmOnYeGHenUPv7g2wA7t_ahNYhWs5f?usp=sharing).

Ah, when you finished flashing.
Block these apt packages over ssh:
`apt-mark hold linux-image-edge-rockchip64 linux-dtb-edge-rockchip64 linux-u-boot-mkspi-edge`

Be patient with:
`apt update && apt upgrade -y`
It will upgrade 128 packages and took me 20 minutes to update.

Also remove the vnstat eth0 file:
`sudo rm -rf /var/lib/vnstat/eth0`

Greetings DrR00T90

Oh, that’s unfortunate. The [armbian](https://www.armbian.com/) version running on the Makerbase board is based on [Debian](https://www.debian.org/) 10, aka “Buster”:

```auto
mks@mkspi:~$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID:	Debian
Description:	Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)
Release:	10
Codename:	buster
```

This is now an old version, the current version of Debian is 12 aka “bookworm”.
It seems like armbian have switched to bookworm, and removing buster from [apt.armbian.com](http://apt.armbian.com). I have only checked a few mirrors (open in your web browser, the look in the dists folder), but there is only bookworm, bullseye, trixie and sid there now.

I wonder how we will be able to upgrade our Makerbase boards now?
