Trying to get this calibration cube printed as my first print in a long while, everything is fine with the print up until a certain point where blobs of filament get spewed over top and eventually get stuck to the nozzle, thus removing the print from the bed entirely. Could the issue be my

retraction values?

Hi,

There could be plenty of reasons.

Temperature, retraction, speed, …

Have you calibrated your filament?

In orcaslicer, you have plenty calibration tests.

Use them to determine the best settings regarding your filament, printer and model.

I think your print is coming loose first then the blobs grow.

SCRUB your build plate with dishsoap and hot water. If the printer is has been sitting for a long time the build surface will be grimy.

After cleaning your build plate, wipe it down with isopropyl alcohol.
