# Driver error on sv06 plus

I have a sv06 plus and after 1 year of no issues suddenly have a “driver error, printer halted please reset” code. the printer will start a print and then just quit printing. I have three printers, all the same model. I switched the complete extruder assembly to another machine with the same error code. That tells me it must be in the extruder assembly. Any thoughts on what needs to be fixed?

You are running stock Sovol firmware?

In the Marlin universe a “driver” is the motor driver not a piece of software. The fact that the error moves with the extruder makes me think the problem is in the extruder stepper motor.

The motor is a common item EXCEPT the double ended shaft. I didn’t find one in a 5 minute search. I did find this
