# Bricked my SV08 attempting to go to Mainline Klipper

I attempted to load mainline Klipper on my SV08 using the instructions on [GitHub - Rappetor/Sovol-SV08-Mainline: Getting the Sovol SV08 onto mainline Klipper](https://github.com/Rappetor/Sovol-SV08-Mainline). I purchased a second EMMC 32GB and loaded the firmware as instructed. I have booted it several times but never get to the point where it will obtain an ip address to continue the install. I have tried adding the wifi info and plugged it into the lan via a cat5 cable. Nothing is working. I backed up the files from the original EMMC and attempted to start the printer with it installed. NO JOY. Tried copying back the files from the backup of the original to the original EMMC. No Joy. I have submitted a support ticket but have gotten no response. HELP At this point I have an expensive modern art display.

In order to go mainline klipper on the SV08 you should have an STLink V2 usb flasher, because you have to flash Katapult bootloader on both mainboard and toolhead in order to flash the Mainlin klipper build on them. If so you can just try to flash the stock bootloader and klipper build that you can find on the SV08 Mainline Klipper GitHub, there is a section dedicated to the backup files.

Its funny cause i could not get my st link to connect. So I just restarted and tried printing. Everything is working an on mainline klipper. I just got mine. It is the comgrow version.
