Sovol teaming up with BondTech to sell an INDX printer and INDX upgrades to their more recent Klipper printers (SV08, SV08 Max & Zero) would be by far my favorite option. When Sovol released their teaser silhouette of their new color printer, I thought the spacing looked close enough to be INDX instead of complete toolheads. Please. Please. Please. 🤩

Cura Slicer can handle mixed nozzle sizes, I’ve been doing exactly what you mentioned (0.6 mm for main print, 0.2 mm for text labels) for two years on my Snapmaker A350 Dual extruder printer. I’ve done it a couple of times using Orca Slicer with my Snapmaker U1 but Orca struggles with it a bit (or maybe it’s me who’s struggling to get the settings right)🙂 but I think I’ll get there. Plus, with all the multi tool printers coming out, the demand for mixed nozzles sizes are going to push the software to provide the needed control capability I’m sure!

Anyone know how much of a height extension will be needed for a Max with INDX? The 150mm extensions floating around are just enough for the factory enclosure with the lid… 300mm enough?

Don`t buy sovol. They fill bang you, like they bang me.

Those f\*ckers delete my topic and my accounts just to hide tons of problems and make no refund, that they were promise to me.

We tried to talk to you, but it’s impossible.
All you do is insult us, and even Sovol’s offer (a refund while keeping your current printer) doesn’t satisfy you.
So, same behavior, same result.
By the way, we’re not Sovol employees—just forum administrators.
Goodbye

The INDX DEV Kit is now scheduled for shipping pretty much now (end of August, beginning of September).

For over a year we were told that the tool head was US$250 but it’s now showing as in stock at $390. That seems steep considering a good printer (Sovol Zero) costs less than that. The additional passive tools are $45.

There is a place for community support for Sovol SV08 and SV08 Max INDX integration.

I’ve been getting lazy in my old age. I’m not feeling like being on the bleeding edge on this one. I think I’ll wait for some hearty soul to do the hard (fun?) work. I’m inclined to buy an INDX kit, hopefully with more reasonable prices after the initial INDX feeding frenzy.

I get the feeling that Prusa is getting all of the initial INDX love.

The Prusa Founders Edition had it’s issues & users weren’t happy.
It’s printed parts were faulty & it also shipped with brass nozzles & not hardened steel.

I’ve been waiting for over a year for INDX. I don’t mind waiting another few months for the initial bugs to be squashed and the price to decrease.

The Sovol M1D tool heads have many of the INDX benefits. If they’re reliable, maybe Sovol could make a 220x220x220 version of their Zero, enclosed, heated chamber, maybe an integrated filament drying box on top, with no IDEX and 2-4 quick swap tool heads. Two heads would be good for most functional prints, but four would probably be the sweet spot for the arty users who want color printing as well as those of us who print functional parts and want to print support materials, multi-material prints, and leave our favorite filaments loaded to be able to print anything without swapping filaments. Swapping filaments isn’t difficult but not swapping filaments would be a great convenience and would be even better for those who design parts in their office and print those parts in the shop.

That could be my dream printer. But considering how fast they dumped the zero I’d be surprised if they try this. It seems too much of the market wants big printers. I think they are more likely to do an SV08 derived multiple tool heads printer.
