# Any Secrets I Need to Know?

I was gifted my first spools of PETG for Christmas after having only worked with PLA, and PLA Plus.
Are there any secrets and or pitfalls I need to know about before I move to the PETG?

Hi,
You shouldn’t have a problem switching from PLA to PETG.
In the opposite direction (PETG-\>PLA), it will be recommended that you clean the nozzle with a special cleaning filament before printing PLA.

PETG absorbs moisture from the air. Always store it a sealed bag or container with the desiccant pack that came with it…if you have extra, throw 4-5 in there 😁
